Mainly due to a built up area which creates many problems like blocked signals and reflected signals. Whereas other areas can be absolute fine and multiple points can be taken from one Quality TV Aerial. This can be assessed on the day and advice given to what will and wont work for your installation.

  It is likely that the TV aerial on your house points 25km northwest toward the transmitter at Winter Hill, if so you should be able to plug-and-go with a Freeview box using your existing (group C/D positioned horizontally) roof-top TV aerial.
