It is likely that the TV aerial on your house points 65km
north toward the transmitter at
Winter
Hill, if so you should be able to plug-and-go with a
Freeview box using your existing (group C/D positioned
horizontally) roof-top TV aerial.
Your TV aerial on your could also point 49km
west toward the transmitter at
Moel-Y-Parc, which is now Digital with Welsh local
channels.
Your aerial could also point 65km south toward the transmitter
at
The Wrekin, which you cannot receive Freeview from
(but you can see analogue channels).
Some channels (click
here for list) are on lower power so you may be able to
receive some but not all.
It could also point 44km south toward the transmitter at
The
Wrekin, if so you should be able receive Freeview but
you may need a new
(group
W (or wideband) positioned horizontally) roof-top TV
aerial.
Being quite a distance from the transmitter your main problem is a slight
drop in signal strength and if trees are a factor than this
will decrease your signal strength.
