Chester due to its distance from the Winter
Hill transmitter can be a quite difficult location for you to
receive Digital Television but using specialist Amplifiers a
good signal can be achieved, your local Aerial contractor can
discuss these options with you. It is likely
that the TV aerial on your house points 54km northeast toward
the transmitter at
Winter
Hill, if so you should be able to plug-and-go with a
Freeview box using your existing (group C/D positioned
horizontally) roof-top TV aerial.
Some channels (click
here for list) are on lower power so you may be able to
receive some but not all.
It could also point 24km west toward the transmitter at
Moel-Y-Parc, if so you should be able receive Freeview
but you may need a new
(group
W (or wideband) positioned horizontally) roof-top TV
aerial.
Some channels (click
here for list) are on lower power so you may be able to
receive some but not all.
Your aerial could also point 67km south-southeast toward the
transmitter at
The Wrekin, which you cannot receive Freeview from
(but you can see analogue channels).
